Ornamental Grasses
Ornamental grasses are also used as ground cover. They come in a variety of sizes and colors. Pampas Grass is a large variety growing up to about 8 feet tall in most cases. The Blue Fescue on the other hand, is normally less than a foot high. Most decorative grasses take little care but some people like to cut back the pampas grass from time to time.

The Garden Swap
Two patches of Iris beginning to bloom. This is looking like a really good year for these.
These are along my vegetable garden fence.
These are in the island garden in the back yard. There's a crab apple tree trying to grow someplace among them.
There is a Hole
Today, I started back washing the pool and walked to the larger hole. I could see something in there but it moved when I approached. I stepped back and then looked again. Again, I could see the nose of something and it backed away. Then the water came and filled the hole.
A few minutes after shutting off the back wash I was walking near the hole and sitting there in the middle of it was a toad.
