Mystery Of The Missing Pruners

I was using 2 pairs of pruners to clean up around some azalea bushes. A long pair for the bigger pieces and a small pair for the smaller stuff. At some point I laid the small pair down and now I can't find them. I've searched through the debris I dumped 2 or 3 times. I've been down on my hands and knees looking around each bush I was working on. Scoured the lawn from the work area to the dump area several times. Looked in the branches of the bushes and trees and I still have not found them. 

Maybe I'll go out today and they'll be sitting right where I left them in plain sight.
