Additional Water Conservation

Additional Water Conservation: "There are synthetic compounds available as soil additives that help increase the soil’s water capacity. You can find these in granules or beads and lawn and garden shops. Polyacrylamide or PAM can be mixed in the root zone of the soil. Water is absorbed by PAM and then is released back to the soil as the soil dries allowing less frequent watering.
Sandy soils will typically need from 5 to 9 pounds..."
